THE FOOTBALL BLACK LIST GOES REGIONAL TO CELEBRATE THE WEST MIDLANDS


Wednesday 25th May 2022 saw Villa Park, Aston Villa FC host the inaugural Football Black List regional celebration supported by The Football Association. The atmosphere in the room was electric as West Midland natives came together to highlight and celebrate those doing excellent work in the local communities. The evening was hosted by International Sports Anchor and Birmingham native Samantha Johnson. Local talent such as Aston Villa’s Kortney Hause and Sheffield Wednesday Manager, Darren Moore were in attendance for this joyous occasion. 

A panel Q&A discussion featured Chief Operating Officer at Birmingham City FC, Lungi Macebo, Women’s Intervention Coach at Aston Villa Foundation, Renee Gottshalk and Former Aston villa Captain and Club Ambassador, Ian Taylor. Following the panel, numerous awards were presented to influential people who made a positive impact in their local community, recipients included Dual Paralympian, Darren Harris PLY and Committee Member of Continental Stars FC, Diane Sawyers.
