Her career spans education, social care, national media, entrepreneurial endeavours, property development, & working full-time at the NHS; Alongside, she is the General Manager & Secretary of Haringey Women, while she is a mentor, and chairs the London NHS England BAME Network. Karla has played an instrumental role in the development of football in Haringey & for the women’s game for 26 years; from club captain for 13 years, to working with the BBC & local charities supporting underrepresented communities, inc. the safety of women travelling in football. She was chosen by England Football to be part of their grassroots volunteer campaign. HBWFC suffered a huge loss after Manager Steve Browne tragically passed to cancer 7 years ago, & it was Karla’s ability to unite the ‘Boro community during its darkest hours that resulted in HBWFC making club & league history reaching the FA WNL in the same season; the first for a team in Haringey!
